NEAR-EU's second network meeting was hosted by Ben-Gurion University of the Negev on April 25-26, 2017. The meeting provided project partners with the opportunity to present their respective plans for both their BRCs and their Near-EU research. Fruitful discussion and exchange of ideas between partners ensued. A major focus of the meeting was the 'needs analysis' of each partner. As a precursor to their large-scale research, each partner would conduct a needs analysis aimed at identifying the current state of internationalisation in their respective national higher education systems as well as their connection to developments occurring in the European Higher Education Area.
